| After many years with no way to get a
chile fix, there are now several ways to obtain chile seeds, pods (both
fresh and dried) and hot sauces in the UK.
The old stand-by was always Asian stores where the choice is
limited to un-named varieties of fresh Thai and Scotch Bonnet as well as
bottled Chinese/Malay hot sauces. Nothing wrong with the sauces, but
they can be a bit samey, with searing heat and no subtlety.
Try both Sainsbury's and Tesco's for a limited range of fresh
& dried peppers. |

Fresh Peppers can be bought

| Dried peppers are
available from a company that I can personally recommend: |
The
Cool Chile Company

| Seeds are easy to
obtain through the post and will grow well in the UK, both inside a
greenhouse and, here on the Sunny South Coast of England, outdoors. |

| Hot Sauces can finally be
obtained in the UK! A new company has started to import some of the
better known hot sauces and salsas. Their range includes many items that
are listed on US web sites and which have been unobtainable up to now
without the aid of a second mortgage. I can personally recommend this
company. |
